Creating Legacy: New Basketball Club Launching

After public consultation, it has been concluded that the South-West region of Edinburgh is in desperate need of a new community basketball club. This situation is to change shortly with the launch of South-West Edinburgh Basketball Club (SWEBC) this year.

SWEBC will be the lead organisation with branch clubs at Currie, Balerno and Wester Hailes. SWEBC will act as a youth club with the aim of increasing sport participation and simultaneously creating a pathway for the young basketball players from junior to a local senior club. The club will initially start with under 10 and under 12 teams building up to older age categories as the club develops.

Sessions will be run w/c  20th April until w/c 22nd June 2015 in order to recruit new players to fill the under 10’s and under 12’s teams.
