Latest Covid-19 Update & Tee-Times

Covid-19

Following the First Minister’s latest update on COVID-19 restrictions, it gives me great pleasure to confirm we are continuing to progress through the road map out of lockdown.

Yesterday’s announcement to allow organised sport will allow four-ball play with no restrictions on the number of households; however, this is only applicable to members who live within the golf club’s local authority area.

Where golfers are required to travel up to five miles across a local authority boundary, players will be required to adhere to informal exercise guidance which is subject to household limits of 4 players from 2 households.

Therefore, members editing rights will be re-introduced with immediate effect and up to 4 ball golf can begin from Friday 12th of March 2021.

However, we are not quite out of the woods yet, some restrictions will remain in place for the time being but hopefully we can lift these restrictions as soon as possible.

Members will continue to be restricted to a maximum of 2 advanced booked tee-times over a 7 day rolling period but you are entitled to book and play further games on the day if there are any spare tee times available.  Tee-times will also remain at 8 minute intervals but will be under review over the next week or two.

It’s so important for Track & Trace to identify any member who may have come in contact with somebody who has tested positive, so we are simply not allowed to have anyone booked under ‘anonymous’.

Therefore, you must still enter all player’s names within 24hrs of booking or your reservation will be cancelled.

I know you’re probably thinking why are we still enforcing these restrictions, sadly some of our fellow members are still not giving any consideration to our workforce who can only play at weekends.  If you can play midweek, please do so and let’s free up as many times as we can for those who can only play at the weekend.

Also, when we previously relaxed the ‘anonymous’ rule, some of our members didn’t bother advising the pro-shop prior to play so we just can’t take this risk.

Your continued co-operation and patience in this matter is welcomed by all so let’s enjoy our golf and look after each other’s best interest’s.
