Latest Covid Update

Covid-19 Golf Activity Level from Wednesday 13 January 2021

Following our Covid-19 update on Monday, we have now received additional information from Scottish Golf outlining the new ‘stay at home’ guidance. Therefore, I thought it would be useful for me to attach a link to the document which clarifies the current situation.

Although we are delighted that golf is allowed to continue and remain open for play, it’s imperative we adhere to the new measures put in place and also give due consideration to our membership, particularly members who can’t play during the week due to work commitments.

Since we re-opened last May, we have continued to experience unprecedented member play with tee time availability at peak times in particular under massive pressure. Currently, with reduced day light hours and now a two player limit, we now find ourselves in a ‘perfect storm’.

So what does it all mean, all groups on the course are limited to a maximum of 2 players from a maximum of 2 households. All tee times must be booked in advance and you will be given 24 hours to enter the 2nd player’s name or your reservation will be cancelled. It’s so important for Track & Trace to identify any member who may have come in contact with somebody who has tested positive, so we are simply not allowed to have anyone booked under ‘anonymous’.

Single players can continue to book a tee time by clicking on the ‘1 player’ option but please be aware you may be contacted and paired up with another single player by verbal arrangement with Michael Kanev.

Unfortunately members are now restricted to a maximum of 2 advanced booked tee-times over a rolling 7 day period but you are entitled to book and play further games on the day if there are any spare tee times available. Sadly, this restriction must be introduced as we must allow all members to gain access to the course, your support and understanding will be greatly appreciated by all.

Tee-times will remain at 8 minute intervals and starting from Wednesday 13 January 2020, play will now commence from 08.18am from both the 1st and the 10th tees with the final tee time on the 10th at 09.30am. An additional tee-time will be released as the mornings get lighter so please keep any eye on the tee sheet.

Please note – there will be no member guests or visitors permitted until further notice.

Also, any members who fail to use their allotted tee time slot may have their booking privileges suspended for a 7 day period. No shows and lack of due care to your fellow members is unacceptable at anytime.

The pro-shop will continue to operate as our starter service and I can confirm the ladies toilet in the clubhouse and the gents toilet within the pro-shop will remain open. Please remember to wear masks and sanitise your hands as often as possible in and around the pro-shop area.

Obviously, we will continue to monitor the booking situation on a weekly basis and implement further changes if required, but we really appreciate everybody’s kindness and understanding during this extremely difficult time.
